When a family doesn't have enough food, stability in other areas is impossible. Hopelink’s Food Assistance program offers a safe and welcoming environment where you will be able to get fresh, healthy food – including fresh produce, bread, soup, pasta, peanut butter, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, beans, tuna and refrigerated dairy items. Once registered, you will be able to visit one of Hopelink’s five food banks twice a month. The amount of food you will be able to receive will be based on the size of your family.

  1. Photo ID for all adults (18+) in the household.
  2. ID for all children in the household (birthday certificate, medical card, social security card, etc...)
  3. Proof of address dated from last 30 days (utility bill, cable bill, etc...)

Proof of income is not required.

 

Once registered you are able to visit the food bank twice per month. A household of 4 can take home up to $200 worth of product per visit! You will also have access to some of our other programs.

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

All of our food banks are set up similar to a grocery store where clients can choose items they enjoy and will consume. Food banks are run by volunteers and staff.

 

Each Hopelink service center is stocked with emergency bags of food which contain 6 meals. These can be picked up, without an appointment, during business hours for however many people are in your household.

 

No. The majority of food on our food bank shelves is not expired. We have a separate section for shelf stable items that are within 1 year of their expiration date, clients can choose items from this section if they’d like.

 

During July & August households with school aged children can receive extra food when they visit the food bank.
