Highlights from the 29th Annual Reaching Out Luncheon 

Geoff worked within the Washington Community Action Network for his entire career, dedicating over 20 years to ending poverty in our region.

With a fundraising goal of $1 million, Reaching Out Luncheon is the agency’s call to action for community members to support Hopelink’s reach across the region in addressing these expanding needs. 

From the 29th Annual Reaching Out Luncheon The 29th Annual Reaching Out Luncheon was a heartfelt celebration of storytelling, centering on the value of everyone’s own unique story, as well as the healing and learning that comes from sharing our stories.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports that 28.5 million children across the United States rely on school-sponsored meals. In north and east King County alone, over 17,730 of these children depend on free or reduced-fee school meal programs according to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. When school is out, these kids lose their primary source of daily nutrition. 

Community Transportation Navigators (CTNs) is a peer-to-peer outreach strategy that utilizes members within the community focusing on cultural competence and the reflection of shared lived experiences.
